Rev George Varghese (Benny Achen) was ordained as the priest of Mar Thoma church in 2008. Before becoming the vicar of St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church of Delaware Valley, He has served in various parishes across Kerala, Mumbai and Goa, in India. Achen served as missionary in mission centers at Tamil Nadu, India before entering to the ordained ministry. Achen is the member of Pattamala Mar Thoma church, Kottarakara in Kerala.

Achen is married to Mrs. Saumia Mariam Thomas who was a member of Salem Mar Thoma church , Kumblampoika Kerala. She completed masters degree in commerce. They are blessed with two children Reuben George and Joshua George. With family achen is ministering the parish with abundance grace from Almighty God.
