Mission and Goal

The mission of CARE ministry is to improve the health and wellness of local communities through
the provision of hands-on services, food, personal care items, and household items . CARE Advocates for Family Harmony (CAFH) promotes healthy relationships and
advocates against family dysfunction, abuse, and violence. It is CARE’s goal to engage all individuals
in community service and in doing so, fulfill the church mission ‘lighted to lighten’ through action and
example.

  • Administrative duties
    1. Office work in 2-hour or longer blocks
      • ex. stuffing envelopes, sorting files, data entry
  • Mentor
    1. Offer skills and talents
    2. ex. career coach, financial advisor, attorney, physician, dentist, therapist, music instruction, fitness instruction, nutrition counseling, parenting skills, student tutoring, computer training
  • Bake/Cook
    1. ex. birthday cakes for program participants at HS, fundraising cookies and desserts

Gratitude

The CARE ministry team is both humbled and inspired by the number of people within and outside our church organization who serve endlessly and selflessly in all manners of humanitarian works. The team is truly appreciative of all who have reached out in so many ways to make this ministry possible with donated funds, time, and goods.
